Santa Clara, CA – Tuesday, April 9, 2002 – SolutionSoft Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Intelligent Data Optimization (IDO) solutions announced today that its Online Archiving Storage Manager has earned “Verified Compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000” status through third party testing firm Veritest.
The e-Space Solution overcomes storage crises through patent-pending technology that enables online archiving, which is transparent to users and their applications. It uses policy-based compression to allow more data files to be stored online. Compressed files retain the same names and attributes to let users find and access the data easy and fast. Upon access, the files are automatically decompressed.
“We’ve had customers achieve disk space savings of 25% or more within minutes of installing e-Space, that’s what motivates them to purchase the product for their computer systems,” said Michael Morrison, Director of Business Development at Solution-Soft. “Having e-Space ‘Verified Compatible for Windows 2000’ by Veritest enables us to move customers to the trial stage sooner, allowing us to close sales sooner”
Implemented as a Windows NT service, it simplifies administration and automation of archiving functions. You can install e-Space and immediately start using the default policy. Or, using the graphical user interface, you can modify the storage policy in seconds by specifying different characteristics – such as file extension, size, name, last-modified date, last-access date, or minimum compression percent.
